Blog Post #6

In the relatively short period of time I have used Diigo, I can safely say that the Blog is a solid way to share information with a class, group, collective, etc. I especially like the "tag" feature and the right-side tab of "Top 10 Tags" that make it extremely easy to find blog posts under a specific topic. However, I feel that the website design is a bit primitive, and I don't particularly like the blue white color scheme. I wish the developers of Blogger took time to update their UI, but otherwise, all the features work perfectly.

Personally, blogging has not really made a huge difference in my learning since I have blogged for other classes. Blogging is also just another form of social media, and I post to social media apps regularly (as I assume many of my fellow classmates do) so this experience has not lent me any necessarily new knowledge. Although, I would say that practice is always helpful so in that way, Diigo has helped me brush up on my posting skills, especially that of informative posts.

One of the Web 2.0 tools I use frequently is Pinterest. Pinterest is a social media website where different users can post photos. I use this website mostly to get ideas from certain images, such as Halloween Costumes, fashion, video game design, etc. What's really interesting and useful about Pinterest is that you can cave specific images to idea boards centered around a topic. You can also order products on Pinterest that are made by individuals rather than large corporations.
